Guarantee and Warranty

You can easily extend the warranty period of your Affenzahn favorites online:

• Backpacks + 2 years
• Bicycles and bikes + 3 years

Conditions:

• The extension must be made within two years of purchase.
• Please keep the receipt, it is your warranty certificate.
• This extra applies exclusively to our backpacks and walking bikes.

We, FOND OF GmbH, Vitalisstraße 67, 50827 Cologne, grant you as a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code) a manufacturer's warranty on our Affenzahn products. This guarantee applies within the territory of the European Union and Switzerland, provided that you have purchased the product for private purposes.

Your statutory rights in the event of defects (subsequent performance, withdrawal or reduction and, if applicable, compensation in accordance with §§ 437 ff. BGB) against the respective dealer are not restricted by this guarantee and can be asserted independently of it.

If you discover material or processing defects within the warranty period and report the Affenzahn product to the retailer or directly to us before the warranty expires, we will remedy the defect at our discretion by repairing or replacing it with an equivalent product. We will bear the costs of rectifying the defect and any shipping costs incurred in direct connection with this. Other costs, e.g. for shipping boxes, will not be covered.

General provisions at a glance:

• Warranty period for backpacks and cases
  Two years from date of purchase. The warranty for backpacks can be optionally extended by one year.
• Warranty period for wheels and bicycles
  Two years from the date of purchase. The warranty for wheels and bicycles can be optionally extended by three years.
• Products excluded from the warranty
  Children's shoes, toiletry bags, gym bags, pencil cases, drinking bottles, lunch boxes, breast bags, wallets, Velcro badges, books, children's sofas, pillow rolls, scooters, helmets, bells, handlebar bags, umbrellas and clothing. The statutory warranty rights apply here.
• No warranty extension in the event of a warranty claim
  The original warranty period is not extended by the use of the warranty. The warranty is always limited to the original term from the date of purchase.
• Scope of the guarantee
  The warranty only covers defects in material or workmanship.
• Excluded damage
  Normal wear and tear, damage due to improper handling, accidents, extreme temperatures or external influences such as washing cycles or strong force.
• Scope of application
  European Union and Switzerland, for private use by consumers.
